Words you would not likely hear from any leftist justice or nominee: “I love the United States and I love the United States Constitution.” This is the single most significant difference between conservatives and leftists. Conservatives love this country and its founding principles as enshrined in our Constitution based on freedom and individual liberty. Leftists often think of the Constitution as an outdated document written by slave owners that they wish to “Reinterpret” or “Re-imagine” based on their own ideological biases rather than applying it as written and as intended. They often try to knead and stretch our constitution to fit international norms and laws. What makes the United States the greatest country on earth is what makes it DIFFERENT than the international norms of all other countries, the United States Constitution. Our Constitution was designed to limit the federal government and safeguard the citizens’ God-given rights. That is anathema to leftists who wish to grow unlimited government, have government convey limited rights, and infringe upon the citizen’s liberties.
